CAUTIONARIES
FOR KEEPING YOUR PETS AND FAMILY
SAFE AND HAPPY THIS SEASON!

RICH FOODS
Each year veterinarians are challenged to save the life of pets from PANCREATITIS after the pet has been fed or gotten into rich fatty foods, i.e. turkey, skin, pies, etc.   Both pancreatitis and Bloat can be deadly to your pets. Please be sure your dog is safe from such harm
.

BONES
Turkey, duck, chicken, venison are all apt to have dangerous bones involved in the preparation.   Bones can perforate a pet's gut and cause severe illness and death.   Handle foods carefully, and dispose of way out of the reach of pets.

CHOCOLATE
Holidays tend to include sweets that are dangerous to all our pets.  Chocolate especially is highly dangerous to our dogs because of the content 'theobromine'
.

CHILD SAFETY
With extra guests in our homes .. and so much food around, some dogs are going to become both tired and overstimulated by the smell of food.  This may lead to being less tolerant of children, whether from their own family or child guests

UNAWARE GUESTS!
Each year we are notified of dogs who lost becaue they have run out the door
when a guest was unaware  of  the dog.  PLEASE use caution when any outside door is opened!
