Wee Willie Wellington was admitted to the
University of Tennessee Veterinary College today
for Liver Shunt Surgery tomorrow, Wed. 10/19/05
Willie is under the care of Dr. Karen Tobias, DVM

PAGE ONE

Willie was his chipper self as he arrived for his appointment
early this morning with his foster Mom, Ms. Margaret Hunter

Gotta take care of the important things first ...

Hey, anybody got a hairbrush?

Get a good picture of my new coat with my  name embroidered on it, okay?
Ms Margaret made it and another for me, so I won't be cold after my operation.
We chatted with a cute little dish .. I mean
poodle who is having life-threatening
trouble with scar tissue from a de-barking
surgery some years ago.
She's pretty .....

Checking in on Tuesday morning, the 18th of Oct.
Surgery will be on Wed. the 19th.

I checked out the cute fluff girls
in the waiting room.

Sue, fluff advocate
from the
Liver Shunt list
came down to welcome us
and share some Good Luck kisses.

The Ms. Joleen checked me in.
She says I have a sweet heart ....
I say she is sweet all over!

I told  her about some of my adventures.
Maybe Ms Joleen will come out  to visit and
play with me sometime?

Boy, oh boy, is this joint boring.  I want to be getting on with my busy life at home please.

Ms. Margaret brought me another pair of jammies so I did a quick change to be ready for the next doctor who wanted to poke and prod my little body.  Yeesh! A man has to look good for the cameras all the time.

I took the waiting time as an opportunity
to take a nap on the soft, soft, soft(!) blankie
Ms. Margaret made me.  We even slept with it last night so it would smell like home.

Okay, here's another doc wanting to feel me ...

Oh Wow ... this cutie is THE Dr. Karen Tobias.  She's famous for saving the lives of little dogs like me who have liver shunts. She's tickling me .. I like her.

Then all those veterinarians begged to have their photo taken with me.
I'm such a famous guy, I get that all the time ... I deal with it 'cuz
I'm thinking of running for president when I'm feeling better.

Then I had to deal with the teary good-byes .... Oh boy, I hope I don't cry too.....

Good-bye little Willie, please be courageous
and come back home well
 .....We Love You Willie

So here I am ready for surgery in the morning.
I don't like being here in a cage but it's a necessary evil.
Anybody want to come hang out and play dogopoly or something?
I'm in cell 247 :)
All prayers for Willie are most appreciated.
